Project Description:

The faculty web use survey is a paper and pencil survey of 756 courses taught at San Francisco State University during the spring 1998 semester. Survey findings (a) establish a benchmark for SFSU's Web usage for instructional purposes, (b) facilitate planning for future needs, (c) generate information necessary to respond to CSU informational surveys and outside evaluators, and (d) identify faculty who are using the Web in course related ways.

In an attempt to gather information on all academic courses taught in the spring of 1998, 3160 surveys were sent to 1222 faculty members. Faculty members were asked about Web tools they use for instructional purposes in the first part of the survey and their needs for support with Web related maters in the second.
