Welcome to on-campus living at SF State, one of the best learning opportunities you will have in your life! Why? Because you have a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in learning more about yourself, those you live with, and those you interact with.

Whether you are living in a traditional residence hall (Mary Ward, Mary Park, or STTC) or in one of our apartment communities (Towers at Centennial Square, Village at Centennial Square, University Park North or University Park South), you will have a multitude of opportunities to learn, develop, and grow as a student, as a leader, as an engaged citizen, and as a member of the residential community; and each of those opportunities will help prepare you for life beyond and outside of the university.

Realistically, there will be times when you feel challenged by those opportunities, but we firmly believe that those are the moments that you learn the most – and the beauty of that is that you don’t have to go through it alone. The Residential Life staff is here, around the clock, to help you. Whether that is through the help of your Resident Assistant, your Area Coordinator, your Hall Government, your learning community, or one of the Residential Life student organizations, we are here to help and are committed to assisting you with your personal and academic growth.

I encourage you to enter this chapter in your life with an open mind and an eagerness to learn. It is truly one of the most enlightening times of your life, one in which taking advantage of the many positive opportunities that come your way while living on-campus will broaden your horizons and assist you in future endeavors.

Welcome to your home away from home!
