INTRAMURAL/RECREATIONAL SPORTS PROGRAM

The Intramural/Recreational Sports Program under the supervision of the Department of Kinesiology provides an opportunity for students to participate in sport activities in a structured and competitive setting and on an informal, "freeplay," drop-in basis. The goal of the Intramural/Recreational Sports staff is to encourage fair play, equality in participation, fun, and enjoyment in a safe environment.

Intramural leagues, tournaments, and special events are offered in the Fall and Spring semesters. A variety of men's, women's, and coed sports are offered including: basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, swimming, ultimate frisbee, softball, badminton, and tennis. Through their involvement in the program as officials, supervisors, and players, students have an opportunity to meet new people, to develop leadership skills, and keep fit in a fun environment.

For those not interested in organized events, the Kinesiology facilities are available at the noon hour and certain evening hours for student recreational use.
