Advisor's Tip: This next phase may take you awhile. Be sure to spend enough time to get a good schedule and alternate schedules. If you spend the time now, registration itself will go smoothly! Freshmen: You may be worried that you won't get your classes or that classes might be full. Yes, that sometimes happens. But remember, this semester and next semester, Freshmen will have priority, so you should get the schedule you want. We don't guarantee that all the classes will be the times that you want. Here's where alternate times blocks are important. Transfers: you might be asking the same thing. Am I going to get a perfect schedule in Fall? Well, the way SFSU Registration works is that after freshmen register, then the seniors and 2nd BA's register. Following them are the juniors and sophomores. Finally the last to register are the continuing freshmen (anyone with 23 -29 units) and those admitted late.
